Florida native Erik Curtis got the filmmaking itch early on. As a notably enterprising teenager, he cold-called every production company in a 50-mile radius for the opportunity to assist on set. The location where he worked his first professional gig would ten years later become the set of his first commercial as a director. Fascinated with the entire production process, Curtis transitioned behind the camera, stinting in camera assistance &amp; operating before finding his groove as a DP. He has worked as a DP across various commercial and film projects, including second unit DP roll work on the Harmony Korine-helmed Spring Breakers as well as on Sunlight Jr., a feature film starring Naomi Watts and Matt Dillon that premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival.
Aspirational snapshots of treasured moments that unfold with refreshing relatability mark his directorial work for such top brands as Disney Theme Parks, Universal Theme Parks, Spectrum, Publix, Visit Florida, and Hertz, among numerous others. Anson Fogel is an Emmy-nominated director with a carefully-imagined style defined by rich sound and picture. He has crafted cinematic work for such top brands as Apple, Volkswagen, Burger King, GE, Microsoft, The North Face, Red Bull, National Geographic, Jeep, and Marriott. Currently based in Boulder, Utah, he creates immersive art and shared VR environments when he’s not directing for clients.
With a diverse skillset as a director, writer, producer, and DP, Fogel brings a holistic approach to his enigmatic work spanning commercials, experimental shorts, feature films, and photography. He began his career in film working on set as an AC, spending seven years as a DP before diving into directing for brands, documentary, and television work. He has won over 20 major film festival awards, including the Grand Prize and three other awards at Banff 2011, the Grand Prize at New Zealand, The Fowler Award at Telluride, and The Camera prizes at Trento and Gratz.

Jihye spent the first eight years of her life on a farm in Korea before making her way to New York City. Her fluency in Korean and English and her ability to navigate diverse cultures have become pivotal strengths in her career, allowing her to bridge connections in various stories. Her career began with voice-over work, where she voiced the Korean tours for iconic exhibitions like the Empire State Building and Amsterdam&#8217;s Van Gogh Museum. 
From her start as a production assistant, Jihye steadily climbed the industry ladder, producing projects for Formula One and NBC Sports before breaking into commercial production. She produced Lady Gaga and Post Malone&#8217;s “Dive Bar Tour” for Bud Light, blending celebrities, concert performances, and live activation with cutting-edge technology. Jihye&#8217;s commercial directorial debut, “The Commitment Collection” by Equinox on which she also served as a producer, highlighted her versatility in working with real people talent and laid the groundwork for her collaborations with many top brands including Ford, McDonald&#8217;s, and Anheuser-Busch.

Braden King is a New York-based filmmaker whose work has played internationally at festivals including Sundance, Rotterdam, Berlin, London, Torino, Singapore, and Ann Arbor. He has also directed commercials for such top clients as American Airlines, Coca-Cola, ESPN, Microsoft, Miller Beer, Nikon, Samsung, Scholastic, Siemens, and Spectrum Cable.
King’s most recent feature film, The Evening Hour, starring Philip Ettinger and Cosmo Jarvis, premiered at the 2020 Sundance and Rotterdam Film Festivals. His debut feature, Here, premiered at the 2011 Sundance and Berlin Film Festivals and was adapted into a live installation that premiered at MoMa. Both films were acquired by Strand for theatrical release. King’s other film work includes the lyrical feature documentary Dutch Harbor: Where The Sea Breaks Its Back, the award-winning shorts “Home Movie” and “National Disintegrations” (released by Laura Poitras&#8217; Field of Vision), and music videos for Cat Power, Glen Hansard, Yo La Tengo, Sparklehorse, Sonic Youth, Bonnie &#8216;Prince&#8217; Billy, Laurie Anderson, and Dirty Three.
Awards and honors include the C.I.C.A.E. Prize at the 2011 Berlin Film Festival, 2010 Cinereach at Sundance Institute Fellowship, 2008 Cannes Film Festival Atelier, 2008 Sundance/NHK International Filmmakers Award, and 2007 Sundance Writers and Directors Lab Fellowships.

Hidden camera expert Andrew Lane is known for a unique directorial style that fuses impeccable multi-camera technical execution with an eye for compelling narratives, from hijink-driven comedy to emotional PSAs. With a distinct talent for uncovering humanity in unexpected moments, his hidden camera work leaves audiences with piqued curiosity and a desire to connect. He seamlessly blends his experience in reality television with masterful storytelling, helming memorable commercials for top brands such as Lay’s, Google, Mountain Dew, Allstate, Stella Artois, Diesel, and Bud Light.
After studying advertising in Austin at the University of Texas, he began with a brief stint on the agency side as a copywriter. He later made his way to New York, rapidly building up his impressive hidden camera directorial career alongside top brands and TV shows including Top Chef, Project Runway, and Stormchasers. His projects have earned widespread industry acclaim, including three Cannes Lions for States United to Prevent Gun Violence and several Lions for his 2018 ad for Diesel, “Go with the Fake,” which tackled counterfeit culture head-on with a clever hidden camera pop-up store.

Alex Ogus was captivated by film early, an animator studying under accomplished NYC artists by age 9. One of his college short films was selected at the Providence Rhode Island International Film Festival, featuring a score by Alex Lifeson of the rock band RUSH. Ogus has since directed commercial campaigns all over the world and collected numerous honors – 4 Cannes Gold Lions, a Clio, and multiple Bessies including Best of Show. The following year, his spot for Media Markt was a finalist at Cannes and one of the top campaigns in Belgium.
Ogus’s US ‘Levitation’ spot for Asics was featured in Creativity, shots and Shoot. His spot for Societe Generale won at the London International Advertising Awards and became part of French popular culture by being spoofed on the Canal+ show Les Guignols. Recently, Ogus directed the official music video for “Gonna Be You,” a song in the Paramount film 80 For Brady, with performances by Dolly Parton, Belinda Carlisle, Cyndi Lauper and Gloria Estefan.

SPIELBERGS — the directorial collaboration of Teddy Blanks &amp; Alex Karpovsky — fuse absurd, surreal visuals with dynamic character-driven storytelling, as demonstrated by their work on Amazon’s The New Yorker Presents, their Emmy-nominated short-form series for FXX, Oh Jerome, No, and branded work for clients such as Dollar Shave Club, RAM, and North Carolina Education Lottery.
Blanks, co-founder of the Brooklyn-based designer studio CHIPS, has designed title sequences for over 150 feature films and series, recently winning an Emmy for his contribution to the opening title Apple TV+’s Severance. He composed the film score for Lena Dunham&#8217;s Tiny Furniture and Karpovsky’s Red Flag.
Karpovsky has directed 5 feature films as well as TV episodes of Girls (on which he played the role of Ray Ploshansky) and Love. As an actor, he has appeared in more than 50 films, including the Coen Brothers&#8217; Inside Llewyn Davis and Hail, Caesar! as well as Amazon’s Homecoming, starring Julia Roberts and Bobby Cannavale.

Jakob Ström’s natural talent for uncovering humanity and genuine emotion across all genres can be seen in his cinematic work for brands including Google, IKEA, Mitsubishi, Lidl, CARE, and SunTrust Foundation (now Truist Foundation), among others. Born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden, Ström jetted to San Francisco at the age of 22 to study at the Academy of Arts College, graduating with his Bachelor in Advertising and Design. After returning to Sweden, he worked as an award-winning Art Director, snagging among many accolades the Silver Egg Award for print, the Nordic Advertising Festival Golden Swan for Humor, the Eurobest Gold Film award, the Gold Clio Student Award, and a Silver Midas Award.
His 2015 short film “Dear Daddy” for CARE Norway went viral, garnering 400 million views on YouTube. It was translated into 10 languages and won several international awards, including a Gold and Silver Lion in Cannes, a Grand Prix at the New York Festival, a D&amp;AD White Pencil, a Silver CLIO Award, two Grand Prix Awards and one Gold Award at the CRESTA Awards, one Silver and two Gold Awards at the London International Awards, and one Gold and one Silver Eurobest Award. Aside from his film, commercial, and music video work, Ström has also directed numerous episodes over two seasons of the popular Swedish detective drama series, Jordskott.

As a filmmaker, Joshua Z Weinstein mines intimate human moments for universal emotions. His feature film, Menashe, was released by A24, and nominated for a Gotham Award for “Breakthrough Director” as well as an Indie Spirit Award for “Best First Feature.” Weinstein’s film projects have shown at Sundance, Berlin, and Camerimage, and his advertising work in the Global Health space was nominated for a Cannes Lion. His comedy “Holocaust Survivor Band” for the NY Times won POY’s Multimedia Project of the Year. He directed the documentaries Drivers Wanted, Flying On Engine, and I Beat Mike Tyson. As a cinematographer, he has lensed Sell/Buy/Date, Elaine Stritch: Shoot Me, and Bikini Moon.
Born in NYC, he spent the aughts playing bass in the hardcore band Trophy Scars, a legacy that will live on through the tattoos on his dedicated fans. The DIY punk culture is enmeshed in his storytelling.

Lana Wilson is an Emmy Award-winning director known for telling powerful cinematic stories about extraordinary human beings. Her most recent two-part documentary, Pretty Baby: Brooke Shields, premiered at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival and is now on Hulu. Her previous documentary, the Netflix Original Miss Americana, followed Taylor Swift and premiered as Sundance 2020’s Opening Night Film. It was named a “Critic’s Pick” by The New York Times as well as listed in the top five best documentaries of the year by the National Board of Review. 
Wilson’s first feature documentary, After Tiller (Sundance 2013), which the National Board of Review also listed as one of the year’s best five, won an Emmy Award for Best Documentary and was nominated in the same category of the Independent Spirit Awards. Additionally, it was nominated for four Cinema Eye Honors, a Satellite Award, and The Ridenhour Prize. The Departure (Tribeca 2017) also received an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Documentary and was called “a work of art” by the San Francisco Chronicle, “a genuinely spiritual experience” by the Washington Post, and “tender and moving…like a haiku” by The New York Times.
Wilson is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and a graduate of Wesleyan University. She has been the recipient of The Chicken &amp; Egg Award and of artist fellowships from the Sundance Institute, MacDowell, Yaddo, and Film Independent.
